The train is running on CN’s subsidiary railroad Grand Trunk Western and is connecting west from Pontiac, MI. Lead locomotive #5930 is a Grand Trunk Western SD40-2 painted in CN paint and sublettered “GTW.” The other engine, #9614, is a GP38-2 from the Illinois Central and is also in CN paint, sublettered “IC.” CN purchased Illinois Central Railroad in 1999.
