Title:
Algers, Winslow & Western SD9!!!!
Description:
My only time I witnessed old Algers, Winslow and Western SD9s. Taken at the Indiana Eastern Railroad yard, July 25, 2019. I also saw AWW SD9 #206 pulling the train north into the yard. AWW #205, however is stored on an overgrown track and not being used. I hope this engine operates again. Indiana Eastern got a high hood GP38-2 that was being prepped for paint at this time! They started using it later in 2019. I do not know if AWW SD9 #206 is being used. A worker though said it was going to be back up power to the GP38-2! However, recently (March 2020) sister railroad Squaw Creek Southern scrapped the other two AWW SD9s (there were 4 total)! Glad I got two on this trip. Photo taken with permission. (Canon T-90 35mm camera, Fuji C200 print film)
