| Canadian National’s yearly “Santa Train” heads south in Fraser, Michigan, December 16, 2017. The train is running on CN’s subsidiary railroad Grand Trunk Western. Lead locomotive #5930 is a Grand Trunk Western SD40-2 painted in CN paint and sublettered “GTW.” The other engine, #9614, is a GP38-2 from the Illinois Central and is also in CN paint, sublettered “IC.” CN purchased Illinois Central Railroad in 1999.
