ACR GP40 locomotives reverse ends on the "Snow Train"
Description:
The Algoma Central Railway two GP40 locomotives, #3027 and #3026 painted in ACR colors reverse ends on the "Snow Train" passenger train near Agawa Canyon, Ontario preparing to head back to Sault Ste. Marie, February 4th, 1995. Every Winter, the train runs the round trip on weekends. Wisconsin Central purchased ACR on February 1st, 1995. ACR locomotive numbers were soon changed and Wisconsin Central Limited shields were applied to all engines. This was my 1st time riding Algoma Central! It was only 3 days after WC bought them! I dont mind the shields, its something on the nose (better than nothing like it was before)! (Canon A-1 35mm camera, Kodak Gold 200 print film) Here's a photo by Ron Cady of the same train on its way back just a few hours later: http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=234951&nseq=1

"Classic" GTW!!!!
Description:
A westbound Grand Trunk Western manifest freight train heads through Durand, Michigan in April 1993. Lead engine #5731 is a GP38-2. Later the GTW 5700 series diesels were renumbered into the 4900 series. This was my 1st trip to Durand. It was a trip with my late Dad (RCJ I)! We stayed the night in Flint (after a good day of trains in Durand), 4-16-1993. This was at Durand the next day, the 17th. I was 9 at the time. I videotaped that trip! This whole train had absolutely no Graffiti seen! Man it would be nice if it still was like that! I love the power! Every freight (except BN coal trains and CMGN) had all GTW engines! Durand is my favorite spot (of all time) to go and watch trains! (Canon 35mm S.L.R., Kodak Gold 400-3 print film)
