Description:  Retired Alcos (one EMD) at the Saginaw Roundhouse, Saginaw, Michigan. Engine #469 is still in its old Detroit & Mackinac Railway colors. They were the 1st Railroad to fully dieselize from steam! This is one of their 1st diesels! I've never seen it run, this is the best that I've done! It's worth saving of course! Photographs taken here under strict permission guidelines from an employee (will remain unknown). This is not public property of course. Description:  This Lake State Railway train is running on their subsidiary Saginaw Bay Southern. It is heading north near Flint, Michigan, May 2006. Locomotive #5921 is a former Grand Trunk Western SD40. There are two "Alco Variants" in this consist! Lake State began leasing this line between Mt. Morris, Saginaw and Midland from CSX in 2005.
