Here is Dunn Paper spur CN (GTW) track! We (including friend Mason Dahlke) waited hours for a train here! Also, we stayed the previous night expensively at Double Tree hotel! After waiting hours for the train to shoot it going under the Blue Water bridge, we left to check a photo store! Mistakenly we went to the Bascule Bridge to wait for the train since it didnt come! Wow! We missed it by like two minutes! We only caught it at the Bascule Bridge after it departed Dunn! The water was so blue and nice!We only caught it at the Bascule Bridge after it departed Dunn! Well, we got it good there!!!! We got CN (GTW) switching here in June 2018 (photos in album). I also got LSRC in 2019! Freighter is seen in the Saint Clair River heading north. Last GTW crosses Black River Bascule Bridge |

CN's (GTW) last day operating the Dunn Paper Spur. Lake State Railway consumes operating the day after that! I heard they were still using this GTW engine and training LSRC crews! A southbound Grand Trunk Western train crosses the Black River in Port Huron, Michigan on June 10, 2018. GP9R #4626 leads on this branch after serving Dunn Paper. The Bascule Bridge was built in 1929 and raises to allow large boats to pass. It is kept down during the winter months in the off season for boaters. In the summer months, the bridge is kept in the raised position and only lowered to allow trains to cross. This railroad spur is less than 4 miles long. It used to be a main line and was built in 1859 for Grand Trunk Western’s predecessor Chicago, Detroit & Canada Grand Trunk Railroad. (Canon AE-1 Program 35mm camera, Kodak Gold 100 print film) |

This railroad spur is less than 4 miles long. Lake State began leasing this branch from Canadian National’s Grand Trunk Western Railroad in June 2018.
